In the creative processes I find my nose in a sketchbook a lot. For me, creating or reworking illustrations, drawing and generating ideas, the portability and possibility of the sketchbook can’t be beat.
This leaves a trail of ideas, thoughts and images. Unfinished projects. Books are a big one. On my computer I have a folder labelled ‘Books’. In that folder there are 12 more folders, each folder is labelled with the title of a book. There are anything from 1 to 100 files in the folders. There might be an outline of a book or a finished or almost finished product.
I coined this dilemma The Institute of Unfinished Projects. It is an awareness that I really need to finish a lot more of what I start. Time, o time. If there only were more of you.
